PROGRAMS
Infant- 6 weeks-18 months
Tender, loving care for this delicate age! Your child will be visually stimulated with bright colors and objects - physically stimulated by playing simple age appropriate games which enhance muscle development and eye-band coordination. Infants will sleep in a crib and parents are responsible for bedding. An extra set would be helpful in case of a problem. Bedding will be sent home on Friday and returned on Monday. Parents are responsible for bringing all of their child's needs - disposable diapers, wipes, ointments, bottles, bibs and food. All items must be labeled.
Toddlers 18 months – 3 years
Children will develop socially, emotionally and physically. They will also make great strides in motor skills and language development. Your child will be encouraged to master these skills through games, stories, songs and play activities. Cots are used for nap time. The school will provide a cot and parents will supply blankets and cuddly friends. We'll need diapers, wipes and a change of clothes to keep in their cubbies.
PreSchool Program (Approximately 3– 5 years)
Children will be divided into age appropriate groups and further develop their social, behavioral and language skills through creative learning techniques. Children will be exposed to pre-kindergarten readiness skills as appropriate for age. It is our goal to present a program that will make your child self confident and assured when they enter the "Big School" by having a solid base.
Nap time is a part of the afternoon. Cots are used, parents supply blankets, pillows.
Children who are in Kindergarten will be presented with a program that will compliment and reinforce the skills they are currently exposed to in Kindergarten. Vernon schools will provide bus transportation for your child - you must make appropriate arrangements with Vernon Schools. The bus will come on premise.
We encourage Parent Involvement throughout the year. If you have skills in a particular area and would like to demonstrate your talent, please let us know and we will gladly make arrangements for you to spend class time with us. Also, we will be going on class trips throughout the year and need help with chaperones and transportation. At Christmas time we have a special arrangement with Santa for a visit along with a little program presented by the children; at the end of our school year we have a ceremony for children who will be attending Kindergarten in September.
Infants and Toddlers will have daily records kept of eating, sleeping and toilet habits.
You will receive notes from time to time and please check the bulletin board for updates.
For the pre-school children a conference will be set up twice a year to discuss your Childs progress and development.
Before and After Care
School Age Children can get the bus right here. Before care starts at 6:00 am and when they get back they can stay until 6:30 pm. We have buses for Walnut Ridge, Cedar Mountian, Loundesberry Hollow, Glen Meadows and Immaculate Conception. We also can make arrangements for other transportation.
